Sri Rama Navami observed

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu along with his wife Mrs. Bhuwaneswari took part in the Sitarama Kalyanam at Bhadrachalam on the eve of Sri Rama Navami. The couple offered Silk Clothes as per the tradition. People in large numbers viewed the Kalyanam with devotion. Special Poojas were held in all temples in the state on the eve.

Temple of Sri Venugopala Swamy in Eluru blasted

The Century Old temple of Sri Venugopala Swamy in Eluru was blasted by some unidentified people. The Simhadwaram of the temple was damaged. The priest and his wife who were sleeping at the Sanctum near the temple escaped from the blast.

Intermediate Board serves Disaffiliation notices to two colleges

Board of Intermediate Studies issued Disaffiliation notices to Narayana Junior College and Chaitanya Junior Kalasala in Kukatpally for beginning admission process for Junior College courses even before the announcement of admission process.

Saukaryam wins CSI Award for Best IT Usage

Saukaryam - the Hitech facility of the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation bagged the first prize of the Computer Society of India for Best IT Usage. The award carries Rs. 50,000 prize money and a trophy and was received by Commissioner Mr. Sanjay Jaaju at a program held in Pune.

Information Minister Mr. S Chandramohan Reddy said that CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was making cheap remarks on Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Dr. Reddy was making remarks with jealousy. He spoke with the press in Tirupati today.
Tension between two groups which began with the suspicion of killing of a person due to witchcraft resulted in the burning of 4 houses in Mahabubnagar.
The District Special Party Police of Nizamabad unearthed over 20kg of explosives including 80 'tiffin boxes' which can be used as bombs from a dump in Gundaram forest area. Meanwhile, Karimnagar Police unearthed five powerful landmines being installed by the Peoples War Group in sircilla-Kamareddy Road.
