TDP meets to decide its course of action
Telugu Desam Party met today to discuss on its course of action in regard to the recent political crisis between the NDA and the TDPP. Speaking with the Press, Sri K Yerran Naidu said that they (TDP) were not against NDA, Mr. Vajpey or Mr. Modi and that the problem was a National problem which has to be attended at the immediate.
APCC begins Relay Hunger Strike
APCC President Mr. M Satyanaryana Rao began the Relay Hunger Strike program of the Congress Party in Hyderabad. The strike was in demand for the removal of Mr. Narendra Modi Government in Gujarat. Over 100 party workers took part in the program on its first day.
2 new PG Courses from Central University
The Central University in Hyderabad will be offering two new Post Graduate Courses beginning this year. The courses will be in Medical and Bio-technology.
Odyssey on Wheels reaches Vizag Naval Base
Odyssey on Wheels - II - the Naval Motor Vehicle expedition being organised by Western Naval Command reached the Naval Base at Visakhapatnam.
United Forum of Bank Employees staged a demonstration at all banks in the state today against Government reforms. Bank transactions and Business were hardly hit due to this. Most of the shopping centers were seen with shutters down.
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu had held a Video-Conference with District Collectors in the state in regard to Food for Work. He said that over Rs. 1.5 Lakh misappropriations were done and asked why pending cases against people involved were not cleared. Various Cabinet Ministers were also present. The link of Video-Conference got disconnected a number of times during the conference.
