The Telugu Desam Polit Bureau met today to decide on its stand with the NDA at the Center and in regard to the recent crisis in Gujarat. TDP Parliamentary Leader Sri Yerran Naidu and senior TDP members participated in the meeting.

Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust organised a blood donation camp in Hyderabad to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar. Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation visited the camp.

Mr. M Sambasiva Rao inaugurated the Mahajana Party with special interest on Dailts in the state. The Party was formally inaugurated at a function held at Press Club in Hyderabad. The party will be participating in the 2004 Assembly elections was keen on SC - ST - BC and other minorities votes.

Minister for Social Welfare Sri JR Pushparaj said that the backlog posts of SC ST will be filled in three months time. He participated in the 112st Janayanthi of Dr. B R Ambedkar. Earlier Governor Dr. Rangarajan, Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu also garlanded the idol of Dr Ambedkar at the Tank Bund.

The State wide seminar on Power Reforms and Electricity Tariff hike organised by Left Parties was postponed from April 18 to April 20.

Police took 8 persons into custody in regard to the bomb attack case on the house of Avuku Mandal President Mr. Challa Rajasekhar Reddy in Cuddapah.

Police arrested former MLA and Naxal leader Mr. SV Krishnayya on Sunday night. Various cases were reported on Krishnayya for his association with Naxal groups.

Commissioner of Board of Intermediate studies approved 19 new Junior colleges in the state. The necessary orders were already sent.
