134 Eminent Teachers in the state felicitated
People allover the State are celebrating the birth anniversary of Former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishna. The function at Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad was inaugurated by the State Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu. He felicitated 134 eminent teachers on the occasion. A Cash award of Rs. 1000 was given to them. He said that TDP led Government is firm on its decision and that it will never interfere into any controversies. He promised to look at the problems of the Teachers in the state.
Members of the Congress staged a dharna in front of the Legislature today under the leadership of P Janardhan Reddy. The Police arrested few of them.

Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalle Radha Krishna Observed
The Birth Anniversary of the one of the founder member of Andhra University Dr. Sarvepalle Radha Krishna was observed at the University campus today. Registrar Sri J M Naidu and other Officials and Teaching staff of the University garlanded the statue of Sri Radha Krishna. It may be recalled that Sri Radha Krishna was instrumental in bringing new departments and the development of the University.
Teachers Day observed
Teachers Day was observed at Kakatiya University today. Top EdCET 2001 Rankers were given certificates for their achievements. Alumni Welfare Association of various colleges felicitated best Teachers.

Naxals blasts Drill Machines at Karimnagar
Naxals of the Peoples War Group blasted Drill Machines of Annaram Singareni mines in Karimnagar. They also wrote a letter to the Government demanding to withdraw privitisation of Education system.
Police begins collecting evidence in Eluru Bomb blast
Police were able to collect important evident regarding yesterdays Bomb Blast in Eluru. They identified that those who died in the blast yesterday was a resident of Vijayawada while the other was a Merchant based at Eluru. Police were also identifying the people whose names were mentioned in the Cellphone being recovered from the site. Meanwhile, the Peoples War Group Naxals announced that 2 of the members killed in the Eluru Bomb Blast were Cadre members.
The Deputy Governor of RBI, Dr. Y V Reddy formally launched M.Tech (IT) course at he University of Hyderabad. Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. P Rama Rao was also present at the occasion.
The Telecom Department is gearing to provide WLL and Cellular services in the Andhra region. About 60,000 connections in the urban areas will be released initially and this number will gradually increased.
