Union Minister Felicitated

The Executive Committee of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Part met at Gandhi Bhavan today. They discussed various issues relating the policies of the state and the party.

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu met with N Kistappa, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development and discussed on the developments to be under taken for the development the Dairy sector in the state.

3 persons died on the spot when a lorry overturned on its way from Vijayanagaram. The Lorry was on its way to Gajuwaka area of Visakhapatnam.

Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud has held a meeting to review the laws on Real Estate Business in the state. He said that the state government will look into if there is any need to make a change in the laws in regard to the matter.

Union Minister of State Ch. Vidyasagar Rao said that the Central Government is working on possible allocation of Rs 164 Crores aid to the state to counter attack Naxals in the state. He felt that the state Government has to allocate the remaining lands to the rural people is the best way to keep Naxalism under hold. He also said that the State Government has to strengthen the Panchayat sector.

Governor Sri Rangarajan released a Notification in regard to the Monsoon Sessions of the State Legislature. The sessions will begin at 9:30 AM from 13 September 2001.

The Guntur District Telugu Desam Party met to felicitate the recent winners in the Panchayat elections. State Level Ministers also too part in the meet and said that the TDP part has to work united.

3 people died when a bomb exploded in Eluru Railway Station at about 10:35 PM. The bomb exploded seconds after Howrah bound Falaknama Express reached the station.

20 Lions,2 tigers, a Himalayan Bear and a Monkey were brought to the Visakhapatnam's Indira Gandhi Zoological Park from Patna, Bihar. These Lions and Tigers were being seized from various circus companies. The animals were brought in 8 trucks and were served with glucose at Vizag.

The CBCID Police seized lockers of a bank based in Gudivada of Krishna District which were believed to be belonging to the Chairman of Krushi Bank.

One person was injured when Naxals of the Janashakti Group Naxals attacked on 5 persons in Medipalle area of Karimnagar.
