Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu has held a Ministerial meet to discuss on providing power to the farming sector in the state. The meet decided to cut the power for the farmers from the existing 12 hours time to 9 hours a day. The Meet also decided to extend VRS scheme for 3 Departments.

A Fire broke at the Kothagudem Thermal Power Generation plant at Palvancha of Khammam district in the early hours of the morning. Initial estimates say that property worth Rs. 50 Lakhs was damaged. The Generation of Power from this plant came to a stand still.
