Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu lit the light for a conference on "How to protect human rights of inmates in various jails in the country". Supreme court chief justice Anand, Commissioner of Police Mr. P Ramulu and others spoke on the occasion.

43 supporters of CPI(M) including Mr. Raghavulu were arrested when they tried to support APSRTC Employee in their strike. These supporters were later sent to Chenchalguda Jail. One APSRTC Employee tried to commit suicide in East Godavari district. He was prevented from doing so by the Police.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister said that even after the Government has agreed to provide Rs. 100 Crores, the Employee unions are not getting down from their demands. He said that the issue of APSRTC will be brought for national level discussion.
