CM visits flood effected areas in Cuddapah and Nellore

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government will take all possible steps to come to the rescue of people which was effected with heavy rains in Cuddapah and Nellore Districts. He asked the officials to restore power in the districts. He promised the people that help will be extended to all the people effected thus.

Minister Sri N Siva Prasad said that the Government is working to restore road and railway lines, power restoration. He said that work for restoration of Madras - Calcutta Railway line was underway. He also said that Food and Water packets were dropped at areas where people were totally struck with the help of Army Airplanes.

APSRTC Employee Unions strike continues
The strike of APSRTC Employee Unions reached 3rd day with no possible solution reached between the Government and the Employee Unions. The Government announced that a total of 10,000 private buses were deployed as restoration measures tough people were found to suffer due to lack of basic transportation. Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud requested the Employee Unions to understand the financial problems faced by APSRTC and asked them with a non-financial proposals and that the Government will look into financial proposals at its own expense some time later.

Meanwhile, the Opposition Parties including Congress Legislature Party, BJP and CPI said that the Government has completely failed in dealing with the situation.

The Sarannavarathri Mahotsavam of Goddess Kanaka Durga began today at Vijayawada. The Swarnakavacham Avataram of the lordess was put on display today.

TRS Meet was held today at Secunderabad. Activists and Party members discussed on all the happenings that were held till date by TRS was discussed. Thousands of supporters of the party from all districts participated in the meet.

Mr. A N Jagadeeswaran has taken over as the new Executive Director of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited at Ramachandrapuram.

Naxals of the CPI(ML) Janashakti group blasted a CDOT Telephone Exchange of Gadkol Village in Nizamabad.

Two Constables and a Jeep Driver were killed while a DSP escaped with injuries in a landmine blast planted by Peoples War Group Naxals in Bijjie in Khammam District.
