1.25 Lakh APSRTC Employees on strike

Home Minister Sri Devandar Goud said that the Government is ready for APSRTC Employees wage revision but will be implemented only after one year due to the extreme problems of APSRTC. However the late hour discussions between the Joint Action Committee of the Employees and the Joint Parliamentary Committee of the Government yielded nothing and the strike became the alternative. With this about 1.25 Lakh Employees of the APSRTC will be participating in strike. Busses from all depots stopped their services from mid-night.

In an encounter between the police and naxals in Sampathnagar area of Khammam, a War Commander, Mr. Nagasatyam was killed.

A CRPF Constable committed suicide by shooting at himself at Machareddy police station in Nizamabad district.
