JAC by TRS to be formed

The Telangana Rastra Samithi announced that a Joint Action Committee will be formed with all the Government officials working in Telangana to fight against the problems created by the Government. Speaking to the press President of TRS Mr. K Chandrasekhar Rao said that it will be of no use if different departments fight individually againt the government and a joint committee should be formed. He said that all the departments should work untidily to solve their problems. He also said that TRS will support the State-wide bandh on 8th of this month.

TDP Opposes state-wide bundh
The TDP opposed the State-wide Bandh on 8th of this month. They said that Congress and its allies are hijacking the RTC issue. The meeting strongly supported the Government's action in the issue.

The State CPM alleged that the Government is trying to privatize 97 Government departments apart from APSRTC and Singareni Colleries. Speaking to the press at Makineni Basavapunnaya Bhavan, Hyderabad. President of CPM Mr. K Raghavulu has released some documents regarding the matter.

AITUC and CITU rallies in support to APSRTC
The AITUC and CITU workers union has rallied from Indira park till Sundarayya park in Hyderabad. AITUC leader Mr. Potluri Nageswara Rao said that Chief Minister should conduct discussions again with the APSRTC unions and should solve the problem immediately.

A 5 member Central Committee under the leadership of Misra visited a few place at Cuddapah to analyse the loss occurred due to the recent drought in the district.

Chitoor congress leader Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy inauguarated a Telephone exchange at Bandameedepalli, Chitoor today. He demanded the Government to help the Farmers immediately and bring justice to them.

The State Electricity Regulatory Board rejected the deal of AP Transco with BPL Power Project for purchase from the former. The Regulatory Board said that AP Transco has not kept the needs of its subscribers into account in the deal.

6 persons died in a road accident in Jahirabad in Medak District when a TATA Sumo and a private bus collided.

The State High Court gave a historic judgment saying it is illegal for making women work during night hours.

CPM State Secretary Sri B V Raghavulu filed a writ petition at the High Court on POTO Act.

Dr. P Lakshmana Rao, Prof. of Surgery, Rangaraya Medical College and Government General Hospital, Kakinada was elected as the President of AP Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India.

Mr. M Ramana, fomer Minister and MP from Karimnagar was names as the new chairman of AP State Khadi Board while Mr. Maddirala Rajeswara Rao, Dy. Mayor of Guntur was named as Chairman of AP Housing Board.

The 500 MW First Boiler at the NTPC Simhadri Boiler was ignited. This is a mile stone in the history of NTPC Simhadri.
