Chota Shakeel's left hand Mr. Mohammad Haneed killed in Hyderabad

Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel's left hand Mr. Mohammad Haneed was killed by Hyderabad Police in the early hours of the day. Haneed is chief involved in many mafia issues including sale of arms and ammunition. Police forces who saw Haneed coming on the scooter tried to stop him when he tried to escape. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mr. Pervaram Ramulu said that there were many cases on Haneed in Bandra, Poshwara, Malad, Nirmalnagar, Wakhola and other police stations. He said that the police found Dubai phones numbers of Chota Shakeel and other mafia dons.

CM says he wont be involved in talks with RTC Employee Unions
Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu announced that he will not be involved in the talks with the APSRTC Employee Unions since there was no possible solution as the Unions are strict on their demands.

Ordinance on SC-ST Commission to come tomorrow
The Sate Government is expected to bring an Ordinance on SC-ST Commission as recommended by Justice Punnyya Commission. Chief Minister said that people in villages are now slowly getting aware of the various atrocities and are began fighting against the untouchability social evil. He said that 30th of every month will be observed as Human Rights Day.

Govt. has no intrest in Dalits - says YSR
CLP Leader Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said that TDP has no moral interest in Dalits and that their Minister say contradictory statements. He said that Government is more interested in privatization of APSRTC and this is why they are complicating the strike issue of APSRTC Employee Unions.

The strike of Junior Doctors ended successfully after their talks with the Government. Minister Mrs S Aruna and Junior Doctor Association leaders discussed for over 4 hours. She said that Government is ready for increase by 215 seats. However, Junior Doctors said that they will be only attending Emergency cases and that they will join in duties only after they receive orders from the Court.

National Seminar on Media Trends
Press Council Chairman Justice K Jaya Chandara Reddy spoke at a National Seminar on Media Trends in Hyderabad today. He felt that it is not wrong on the Government to ask proof when asked for on news topics on Terrorism being covered in the media. Kuladip Nayyar, Mrs Komi Kapoor, Sri Potluri Venkateswarulu were present at the meet.

Mr. Kanumuri Bapi Raju took over as the Chairman of Kisan and Khet Mazdoor Cell of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. He said that he will be working on to bring a monthly magazine of the Cell for the farmer sector in the state.

Six persons were killed in an accident in Ongole when a private bus rammed into a nearby tea stall when it lost control. Meanwhile, in another accident, a short-circuit in a private bus killed one person.

Congress Leader Mr. P Balasubba Reddy was killed in a bomb attack by five unknown persons when he was returning home on his motor cycle in Kurnool District's Mahanadi area.

Minister for School Education and Libraries, Sri Kadiyam Srihari said that the Government is working on for the implementation of Internet facilities at all District Libraries in the state. He said that the project is costed at about Rs. 2.5 crores. He inaugurated a Digital Library at the Sarvottam Library in Vijayawada. Minister for Agriculture Sri Vadde Sobanadreswara Rao was also present at the meet.

The First-All-India Slide Circuit Competition began at VJF Press Club today. The exhibition displaying slides was organised by Waltair Photographic Society.
