Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that the State Government is planning to request the Center for a possible IIT for the state at Basar while is a part of the development of the Telangana Region. He said that the State Government has come forward to allocate 1000 acres of land and also civil amenities for the establishment of the IIT in the backward Adilabad district.
Minister for Agriculture and Horticulture, Sri Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao recommended farmers in the state to shift to organic farming. He said that the county's need for food grains by 2050 will reach to 550 million tones.
