Andhra favors POTO Act

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu voted in agreement with POTO Act in the Chief-Minister's Meet being held in New Delhi. He also requested the Center Government to identify Peoples War Group as a terrorist group.

A Seminar on Terrorism was held at the College of Management Studies, GITAM, Visakhapatnam as a part of Communal Harmony Week.

The Eastern Navel Command has exercised in the Bay of Bengal as a part of the Navy Week Celebrations. It also tested the surface-to-surface missile - INS Chamak.

Leader of the Opposition Party and CLP Leader Sri Y S Rajasekhar Reddy made visit to Gadwal Market yard in Mahabubnagar and enquired about difficulties faced by the farmers in selling their produce. He found that there was no presence of Food Corporation of India nor the Civil Supplies Corporation at the yard.

Naxals of the suspected Peoples War Group blasted the telephone exchange of Uppal in Nizamabad District. Property worth Rs. 8 Lakhs was destroyed.

Union Minister of State for Urban Development Sri Bandaru Dattatreya promised a speedy help for the depositors of Krushi Bank.

4 Naxals of the Peoples War Group were killed in an encounter between the Police and Naxals in Kothaguda mandal of Warangal. One of those dead is a women naxal.
