12th International Children Festival begins

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated 12th International Children Festival at Hyderabad. He said that the State Government will work to provide the best infrastructure and that a subsidy upto Rs. 20 Lakhs will be provided for Children films and that the best child film will be given Rs. 10 Lakhs as prize every year. Press Council of India Chairman, Justice Jaya Chandra Reddy felt that the Government should accelerate its programs targeted at Child entertainment. Senior Actor Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao said that an institution should be set up that looks after developing of quality films specifically for the child community.

Indians all over the world and Andhra Pradesh in particular celebrated today as Deepavali. Special Poojas were held at Vaisnawalayas to Lordess Lakshmi. Youngsters and Children were found happy playing with crackers.

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that major libraries in the state will be computerized and provided with Internet facility. He said that once this has been completed, these libraries will be connected with to other International libraries.
