Chief Minister and other ministers takes part in Marriage function of Sri. K Achunayudu
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud, Speaker Mrs. Prathiba Bharathi, Minister for Municipal Administration Sri MVH Farooz, Minister for Major Irrigation and Medium Irrigation, Sri M Venkateswara Rao, Mayor Mrs. Rajana Ramani visited Visakhapatnam on their way to the Marriage function of Sri. K Achunayudu held at Srikakulam.
State Government released a Notification banning Deendaan Anjuman and closure of its offices in the state. Police Director General Sri Dora said that any one who continued to use the name and followed its principles will be arrested. He said that 40 members of this group were already in jails and were arrested in the past in connection with various cases. He said that Deendaan Anjuman has already some branches in Asifnagar (Hyderabad), Vijayawada and other major cities in the state.
Senior CB-CID Officials raided the house of Mrs. Anita Sen - wife of a senior IPS Office, who was involved in the recent child trafficking issue. A case was filed on her and the child home run by her - Precious Moments. However she is unavailable at her home at the time. Officials said that no records or reports were being taken from her house.
The state Government announced a 50 % Entertainment Tax on Gutkha.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the Krishna District Collector to cancel the registration of any rice mill which failed to procure the allotted quantity of paddy at the minimum supported price.
The State Government has issued an order in the name of General Administration Department to provide personal secretaries to all MLA's in the state.
Minister for Major Industries, Mr. K Vidhyadhara Rao garlanded and unveiled the statue of Sri Jalagam Vengala Rao in Hyderabad. APCC President Sri M Satyanarayana was also present at the function.
Mr. K V Ramana Chary - Vice Chariman and Housing Board Commissioner of APHB said that the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board ( APHB ), in joint venture with Singapore Housing Development Board is constructing a township near Pocharam - 18 kms from Hyderabad.
