Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu rejected to comment on BJP's initiative for separate Telangana state. He met with the TDP members and the press at NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad today. He said that Congress has been making severe comments on the activities of the Government and asked them to make positive comments. He said that separate Telangana should not be a political divide and that people has to respond if they require. He said the TDP led Government is working for overall development of the state and never ignored the Telangana Region.
BJP MLA Sri Ravindranath Reddy announced that he will be joining the TRS party if the BJP has not decided or made its stand.
The State Cabinet has met today and decided to extend the BC reservations in education and other areas for 10 more years. The Cabinet also approved the 5 declarations being undertaken at Vizag. The programmes includes the Neeru Meeru programme, complete Literacy in the state, Environment development and Poverty Eradication. An action plan to this effect will be made within a month.
TDP announced its Polit Bureau members was announced by the Party President Chandrababu Naidu. He said that these members will be taking oath at NTR Trust Bhawan tomorrow.
Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud has held a meeting at Rayalaseema Collector Office to discuss about the problems faced by the women in the society. He said that the Government has started the Mahila Janmabhoomi Programme specially for the women and child welfare. He said that special drive will be taken to check the women programmes in the Girijan and Rural areas.
The first key for EAMCET 2001 was released today ay 5 PM. The final key will be released on June 10th.
The stamp free for Private Documents being was increased. The Document Attestation fee which used to be Rs. 1 was now made to Rs. 50.
10 more new Engineering Colleges were approved to be set up in Andhra Pradesh with the AICTE ( All India Council for Technical Education ) giving approval. The 10 colleges includes.
