Sri N Chandrababu Naidu elected as President to Telugu Desam Party

Sri N Chandrababu was unanimously elected as the Party President of the Telugu Desam Party. Mr. Laxmanna introduced the name of N Chandrababu Naidu and the rest of the members voted in his favored. He took the oath and promised to hold the values and strengthen the Telugu Desam Party. Several leaders greeted him on the occasion.

Tributes were paid to Former Chief Minister Sri NT Rama Rao. Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders garlanded the statue of NT Rama Rao at Rama Krishna Beach in Visakhapatnam. Sri K Yerram Naidu, Sri MVVS Murthy, Mrs. P Varalaxmi, Mr. SA Rehman and other leaders also paid their tributes.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Spokesman, Sri Rosayya appealed to the Government to hold the Panchayat Elections in time according to the Supreme Court decision.
Naxals of the Peoples War Group blasted an Oilseed godown of the Agriculture Department on Sunday midnight.
NTPC announced that it will be giving scholarships of Rs. 2500 each for Plus Two students. There were 7 merit awards to be given.
Two Local Guerilla squad members of the Galikonda dalam of the Peoples War Group Naxals surrendered before the District Superintendent of Police of Visakhapatnam.
