Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud launches special vehicles for Traffic Police in Hyderabad
Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud said that special vehicles will be given to the Traffic Police so that they can serve the public in a much better way. Constables were provided with Motor Cycles so that they can goto remote areas of twin cities. He said that about Rs. 7 Crores was allocated for Hyderabad Police and that the Government is working on to drive modernisation reforms and make the Hyderabad Police one of the best in the country.
CM said that various departments in the state have been allocated 50% of the funds that were allocated during the Budget. He held a meeting on Janmabhoomi Programme and discussed on how the funds were allocated in various departments. Members from various departments took part in the meet.
Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Telangana Rastrasamiti has got good response from all sectors of the society. He said that the Government and its ministers were making inappropriate comments on them and that they would have done the development works in the Telangana region long before. He said that Governments decision on Nizam Sugar factory seems to be ridiculous.
Felicitation programme of Sri M Satyanarayana for his completion of 1 year tenure as the President of the APCC was held at Gandhi Bhavan. Leaders Sri YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Sri T Subbarami Reddy, Sri Dasarai Narayana Rao and others spoke at the programme. Many of the leaders felt that as long as the PCC and CLP work mutually, there wont be any problem and that Congress will go into people in a much better way.
Minister for Higher Education Sri K Ramachandra Rao said that 140 more Government Junior Colleges will be setup in the state.

The Peoples War Group Naxals blasted a culvert between the Gamalapadu village and Durga Cement Factory in Guntur.
One person died on the spot when fire broke off in a bus in Vijayawada. The bus belonging to Sri Krishna Travels caught fire when two of its gas cylinders blasted at the same time all of a sudden.
