Supreme Court stays interim order of the Andhra Pradesh High Court

The Supreme Court, through its interim direction, stayed the interim order of the Andhra Pradesh High Court which suspended the constitution of Fast Track Courts in and the appointment of Judicial Officers to these courts.

The State Congress started a Signature campaign against the Central Government in regard to the Tehelka issue in Hyderabad. PCC President Sri M Satyanarayana said that the State Congress will be filing a write petition shortly. He also said that a a State level meet on the formation of separate state for Telengana will be held shortly.
Union Minister for State for Human Resources Development Mrs. Sumithra Mahajan met the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and discussed with the recent child trafficking issue in various Child Adoption Centers in the state. CM promised her saying the State Government will give whatever assistance they require for the Center to check the menace. She later inaugurated a 3-day Workshop on Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Women at the National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad. She said that 10 to 15 centers will be setup in the country for enabling transfer of women friendly technologies. She suggested that the formation of a Food Bank amongst rural women community will enable them to use the food grains during any Natural calamity.
Sri K Durga Prasada Rao, AP TRANSCO said that APTRANSCO is now more focussing on filing of cases against power theft for Home and Commercial purposes in various districts in the state. He said that the recent formation of a separate tribunals in dealing with cases related to power theft has been helped APTRANSCO both in terms of levey of money through fines and with the reduction of power purchased from outer states.
Minister for Endowments, Sri D Sivarama Raju said that a special drive will be conducted to monitor the lands allocated for the Temples. He said that a separate Survey will be conducted to see that the lands belonging to the Temples were not occupied by any one.
