3rd Phase of Neeru - Meeru Program begins

The 3rd Phase of Neeru - Meeru Programme began all over the state today. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the people to take the programme as a revolution and a social problem and make sure that they conserve water in the best possible way they can use.

May 1, like in many other parts of the world, is observed as May Day by the working community. Workers and Labor celebrated the day at various industrial units in the state. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu released the Sramashakti bulletin in a special program held at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad. 14 best working men and best entrepreneur awards were presented.
Minister Sri BV Mohan Reddy released a bulletin of APSRTC today. He said that more busses will be introduced in the state along with upgradation of services. Sri. RP Singh of APSRTC said that the Transport company is still in losses to a tune of Rs. 210 Crores. He said that APSRTC is considering use of LPG as fuel for busses. He said that extension of VRS scheme was not yet finalised.
A Group of APCLC members met the Governor Sri Rangarajan and said that the Government have completely failed in investigation of the murder of some senior APCLC leaders recently. They requested the Governor to take into special interest in the investigation program.
Board of Intermediate Education said that the Colleges for Junior Intermediate will begin from June 1st. Authorities said that the application forms for the admissions can be had from the colleges from 10th May and May 19th is put as the last date for the receipt of the filled in applications. The colleges will be releasing the list of selected candidates on 22nd, 24th and 26th. The Admissions of the selected candidates will be done on 30th May.
Naxals of the CPI(ML) - Janashakti group blasted a telephone exchange at Illuntukunta of Karimnagar district.
DRM of Railways Sri Padhe inaugurated the 21st All India Major Ports Football Championship at Port Diamond Jublee Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that 4 Lakhs Gas connections will be given to women in the upcoming Janmabhoomi Program. He said that Rs. 45 Crores was put in budget towards revolving funds
