Discussions on Child Labour came to the Assembly today. CLP leader questioned the Government on what they were doing when some politicians are supporting Child Labour. Minister Sri Kadiyam Hari asked the members to use their powers and make children come back to schools. He said Government is keen to eradicate Labour by 2005.
BJP staged a walkout aswell in regard to the recent incidents in Old City of Hyderabad. BJP Member Sri Indra Sena asked the Government to report to Press Council and report a Criminal case against a Hyderabad based Urdu newspaper in the recent Begumpet incident. He also requested the Government to pay compensation to a Eenadu based Photographer who was injured in the incident.
Congress members asked for a discussion on the Private in Konaseema Area. Speaker said that this was already discussed for quiet some time and does not need discussion another time. Having unsatisfied with the explanation, members of the Congress staged a walkout.
AICC Member Mr. Daljit Singh visited Hyderabad today. He said that there is no wrong in the seat distribution in selection of candidates in Coastal Andhra. He said that he will be visiting Vijayawada and discuss of any problems there and represent the problem in the upcoming Plenary Meet to be held in Bangalore.
Aided Teachers Association staged a dharna in Hyderbad for failing of payment of their salaries for the last 3 months by the management.
