Sri Nandoori Subbarao is dead

Senior Artist Sri Nandoorui Subbarao died in Vijayawada at about 10 AM. He is 79 and is survived with a wife and two daughters. Sri Subba Rao is a Comedian, Playwriter, Author and Actor in stage Dramas and is associated with Aakasavani for many years.

Rs. 100 Crores will be allocated to NABARD - says Venkaih Naidu

Union Minister Sri Venkaih Naidu announced that the Center Government will be allocating Rs. 100 Crores to NABARD for the development of Self Help Groups. Speaking at a National Seminar on Self Helping Groups in Hyderabad, he will be reporting the outcome of the seminar to Prime Minister, Finance Minister and the Reserve Bank of India. He also said that the total number of Self Working Groups will reach the 14 Lakh figure by 2004.

A Group of decoits looted Rs. 1 Lakh from passengers in the Vinukonda - Hyderabad Express Bus at Bommarajupalle of Vinukonda area in Guntur District during late night hours.
