Sri K V Mahadevan is dead

Senior Telugu Music Director Sri K V Mahadevan died this morning. He is 84 years. Sri K V Mahadevan his last film being Swatimuthyam won National Award. Among the 500 plus films music directed by Sri K V Mahadevan were Atma Bhandam, Bullet, Dasara Bullodu, Goranta Deepam, Sruthilayalu among others. Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu, Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao, K Visawanath, Smt P Suseela, Sri Veeturi, Sri Swamiyajulu and others paid homage.

Singareni Collaries Strike comes to an end

The talks between the Management and the Unions at Singareni Collieries ended successful with the Unions deciding to joining their duties. Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that the workers agreed to get back to duties when the Management agreed to take the main demands into account. With this the 13 day long strike by the Unions ended.

Tremors in Nellore

A mild tremor shook parts of Nellore for about 4 seconds in the early hours of the morning. According to reports the quake occurred at 7:15 AM in Naidupeta, Doravanisatram, Kuppamreddypalem and other areas. No damage of property or loss of life has been reported. The intensity of the quake was also not known.

CLP Leader Sri YS Rajasekhar Reddy commented that many students have been withdrawing from Gurukul schools due to the Governments inability to refund fees.
