The Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu called on the Prime Minister Mr AB Vajpayee, at Mumbai this afternoon on the eve of the Vajpayee's discharge from Breach Candy Hospital after the knee operation.
Minister Mr. Rajendra Prasad has released the EAMCET 2001 Results at 10 AM at the JNTU Campus, Masabtank in Hyderabad. The Examination was conducted on 27th May for which 1,39,346 students appeared for Engineering and 39,203 students for Medical. The Final key for the exam has also been released.

The Manchareddy police recovered one SBBL bolt action gun along with a kit bag and other material hidden under a compost pit by extremists of the banned PWG in Somarampet village. According to the SP, Dr. Ravi Shankar, the police came across the dump containing the SBBL gun, the kit bag with party literature, two file catridges and some electrical detonators during cordon and search operation.
Italy has agreed to lend technical assistance for leather and shoe manufacturers in Andhra Pradesh and a joint meeting of European experts, LIDCAP officials and industrialists here chalked out plans for imparting the skills. Mr. T Krishna Prasad, vice-chairman and MD, LIDCAP, in his keynote address, said that though AP Contributed 10 percent raw material to the Indian Share, only 5 percent of the raw material was being processed in the State.
Five persons were killed when a mini-lorry hit a stationary truck near Nannur, 10 km from Kurnool. According to reports, the mishap occurred when the mini van coming with a load of chicks from Chittoor hit the truck, which had broken down.
