A 3 day Seminar on Cash payments methods - Modern Developments began at Hyderabad today. The Seminar was organised by the Reserve Bank of India along with the Bank of International. Several members from the SAARC members took part in the seminar. Experts will be discussing on topics including latest development in Payment systems, Financial Reforms, Banking systems etc.
5 persons died in a Road accident in Karimnagar when a Lorry and Jeep collided.
Students of various Medical Colleges in the state extended support to Medial College Employees Union demanding the Government to make payment of salaries of both Teaching and Non-teaching staff of various Medical colleges.
Minister for Power Sri K Subba Raidu requested the employees of Singareni Colleries to join their duties and said that they are ready for discussions. He said that when the company has just started to enter into profits, the strike by the employees is not at the right time.

Andhra Pradesh Genco - the Power Production arm of the Ministry for Electricity stood first in all-India level in terms of power production. APGENCO recorded a Plant Load Factor (PLF) at 85.09% while Rajasthan - the nearest runner up stood at 85 % PLF
