15th Mahila - Sishu Janmabhoomi Programme comes to an end
The 15th Mahila - Sishu Janmabhoomi Programme came to an end today. Various Ministers took part in the concluding day programme and said that the programme was a great success. Ministers Mrs. S Aruna and Mrs. Laksmi Padmavathi took part in Grama Sabha programmes in Prakasam District. Mrs. S Aruna inaugurated a Primary Health Center.
Opposition Parties & Naxals hindering development programmes
Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that the Opposition Parties, Left Parties and Naxals have been hindering the development activities being undertaken by the Government. He said that it is very sorry that Naxals has killed Police who are going to Janmabhoomi Programme. He said that the Government has brought sufficient funds from various sources to take up development programmes and asked the Opposition to guide the Government in a proper manner. Chief Minister took part in Janmabhoomi Programmes in East Godavari and returned to Visakhapatnam where he spoke to the press. He later returned to Hyderabad in a special Helicopter.
Congress MLA Sri Purusothama Reddy formed the Telangana Rastra Sadha Congress to fight for separate Telangana state.
Sri Trupathiswamy - Director of Award winning films including Ganesh and Aazad, died in a road accident near Chennai in the early hours of this morning.
Union Minister for Rural Development Sri Venkaiah Naidu commented that some States have not been properly utilising the funds being allocated to them under the Rural Infrastructure Development Programme.
Telangana Rastra Samithi Leader Sri Chandrasekhar Rao said that he will take up the issue of the negligence by the State Government in implementation of GO 610 to the President of India.
Little Master Ms. Hampi of Hyderabad has setup a new record by winning Grand Master Title in chess at a tender age. She is 14 yrs 10 days when she won the Grand Master Title.
