Peoples Guerilla Army attacks at a Police station

A CRPF Jawan and a Contestable were initially reported killed in an attack by Peoples Guerilla Army at the Eturunagaram Police station in Warangal. The ammunition was placed in a Tractor which was sent into the police station. 3 more were injured and rushed to the hospital. Reports say that the clashes between Police and Naxals was on till 8:30 AM. CI Tirupathi said that this activity was done by the Naxals to take the Police station into their control and occupy. A total of 3 police were officially reported to be killed in the attack. The total naxals involved in the operation were believed to be 150 in number.

9 people died on the spot while 5 people were injured in a road accident in Medcherla area of Mahaboobnagar. The accident occurred when RTC Bus and Jeep collided.

TDP critises at Congress Boycott

Telugu Desam Part said that the Boycott of the Congress members from electing ZP Chairman election in Ranga Reddy is shameful and is not right on their part though they were elected by the people.

Sri Rajasekhar Reddy demands release of Rs. 1 Crore for each mandal

CLP Leader Sri Rajasekhar Reddy said that the Government acted late when 80% of the rural mandals fell into drought area. He said that Rs. 1 Crore should be allocated for each mandal and immediate meet of the Assembly since ZP elections were already completed. He said that the letter written to the Chief Minister will be made public in the All-part meeting to be held tomorrow.

Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party Leader Sri Yerram Naidu said that he will strive to get all the possible funds from the Center to meet the drought situation in the state. He said that he will alert the Central Government during the Zero hour in the Parliament tomorrow. He expressed confidence that the Center will also show interest towards our state as its response to Orissa.

State Election Commission cancelled the Cuddapah Mandal Parishad President Election when a member left Congress party and later joined to Telugu Desam Party.

The Mandal Vice President of Etcherla of Srikakulam District Mr. Kotipatruni Polinaidu was murdered in the late hours of Sunday at about 10:30 PM while he was returning home on a cycle.
