International Commuter facilities inaugurated

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated an International Commuter facilities center setup by AP Road Transport Corporation at Necklace Road in Hyderabad today. Minister for Transport Sri B V Mohan Reddy was present as the Guest of Honor at the meet. He also inaugurated 4 special hospital buses at Lumbini Park. The Buses are expected to provide emergency services to the poor who cannot afford to have ambulances of various private hospitals. The fares of this special bus are put at Rs. 5 and Rs. 10 depending on the distance. Speaking to the press, CM confirmed that the Government is not considering at privitisation of APSRTC in the near future.

TDP Party President Sri Chandrababu Naidu and Secretaries and convenors of various sections of TDP met today to analyse the response from the public to TDP in the recent elections. The meet decided that the Politburo meet every month to analyse the local developments.

CPM Party in Andhra Pradesh decided to work out a strategy to defeat TDP-BJP alliance in the upcoming Panchayat Elections. Top leaders of the CPM met in Hyderabad to discuss the post-election developments in various parties.

About 11550 Silver coins worth Rs. 9 Crores dated back to 1188 AD was unearthed during a house destruction work in Tanduru area of Nizamabad. These coins date back to Nizam tenure.

Vijayawada Police has arrested 5 persons in connection with printing and distribution of fake currency notes. These 5 people were believed to be belonging to Guntur and West Godavari districts.

12 persons were arrested in connection with group clashes in a fishermen village of Gara mandal in Srikakulam.

3 Engineering colleges stopped from admissions

The Government of Andhra Pradesh decided not to take 3 collegs out of the recently allowed 50 colleges for Engineering admissions this year. The collegs were Hipoint College of Engineering and Technology, Rangareddy, Santh Samarth Engineering College, Hyderabad, VIF College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. The colleges were not allowed for admissions due to lack of basic infrastructure to conduct the courses.

The Board of Intermediate has set August 5th as the last date for Admissions to Intermediate First year. The Board said that each Government and Aided college can accommodate 150 students per group.

AP Transco authorities raided Ramya Chitra Kalamandir cinema theater in Warangal and filed a case against it for illegal use of power to a tune of Rs. 23 Lakhs.
