Filing of nominations for Mandal Presidents began at all District Quarters this morning. Reports says that Congress and TDP are the main members to file against for the posts. TRS and Left Parties are expected to support while BJP is supporting TDP members in some areas.
Selection of Mandal President's ended today with Congress and TDP standing in many centers. Congress said that these elections were an eye-opener to TDP. TRS commented that these elections were a reflection of peoples interest on Telangana. He said that TRS will continue to participate in Grama Panchayat, Single-window Elections and MCH Elections. The pending Zilla Parishad President Elections will be held tomorrow.
A Meet on Materials Management of APSRTC was held today. A decision was made to change the existing 2 shift system of work to 1 shift operation so that it can decrease the revenue costs with additional overtime to the drivers and conductors. It also decided to use Private type re-threading instead on inhouse re-threading.
