Andhra Pradesh Congress Spokesman Sri Rosayya criticised the TDP Party has distributed money in many constituencies during the recent elections. He criticised police vehicles have been used for distribution of funds at in Khammam by Minister Tummala Nageswara. TRS President Sri K Chandrasekhar Rao said that Money and liquor are in free flow in the recent elections. Both the Congress and TRS requested the State Election Commissioner to look into the issue and hold an enquiry.
Local bodies bodies of Panchayat Raj will be empowered with more powers. This was stated by Union Minister Sri M Venkiah Naidu in Chitoor today. He said that the State Panchayats have agreed to this effect to State Panchayat's Meet.

Fire accident keeps 150 huts guttered
About 150 houses were guttered in a fire accident at Indira Nagar Colony near Railway New Colony. About Rs. 3 Lakh rupees property was lost in the accident. Fire began at about 11:45 PM and fire fighting services were immediately deployed. Commissioner of Police Sri A K Khan, ACP Ratnakar Babu, CI Ravi Varma immediately rushed to the spot.
Breakdown in NTPC Units
Two Terminal units of the NTPC's Ramagundam Complex and other at Vijayawada Thermal Station accounting to 500 MW and 210 MW capacity broke down due to leakage in boiler tube. The problem is expected to rectified in a day or two.
