Relief Team from the state reaches Gujarat. The team is lead by Mr. D C Rosiah, AP Relief Commissioner and Mr. M L Kumawat, Additional DGP for Law & Order also accompanied him. They met the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Keshubai Patel. The AP is the first relief team from any state.

Minister for Health Mrs. S Arjuan said that the Government will take action aganist those who take abortions when they did not get the baby with the expect sex.

Mrs P SaiKumar Reddy files nomination for Giddaluru Legislature post with TDP ticket. She was accompanied by the District incharge minister when she filed the nomination today.

PCC President Sri M Satyanarayana said that he is confident that the people will give their vote aganist the TDP led government in the state. He said that Senior Congress leaders Mr. M Veera Reddy and Mr. M Siva Rama Krishna will be deployed in the fight aganist the TDP.

State Minister for Power Sri Subba Raidu released the Future plan of Power in the state yesterday. He said that the efforts have been taken to cover up the losses in the next few years. He said that the Power losses and per capita power consumption are being kept on hold. He is confident that Andhra Pradesh will get an additional 5000 MW capacity in the next 5 years.

State Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Ms. S.Saraswathi released the Governments strategic paper for Women. She said that the Government is working to increase the literacy rate among women from the current 32% to 57% by the end of next year. She said that due care has been taken at all levels to look for the increase of Women literacy rate and nutrition value among women.

AISF Members organised a Dharna in Hyderabad demanding the immediate filling of about 2 Lakh vacency positions in various Departments in the state.

Cricket Star Mr. Azhar filed a case aganist the BCCI at the Civil Court in Hyderabad in regard to his life time ban from Cricket.

The 3rd Zone Conferance of the APSRTC National Mazdoor Union meeting was held at Visakhapatnam today.
