EAMCET 2001 Examinations were postponed for May 27, 2001. The Applications costing Rs. 225/= will be sold at all District Head Post Offices from Feb 12 after the Official Notification will be released on Feb 9. The last date for submission of the filled in Applications is Mar 19, 2001. The Examinations will be conducted basing upon the new Syllabus being proposed.

The state of roads in the state is not so good and this is often leading to road accidents in the state. Speaking at Road Safety & Traffic Maintenance Meet which began at Institute of Engineers in Hyderabad, Mr. Vijaya Rama Rao said that the Government will be looking at the best possible steps towards shaping a path towards accident free roads in the state. Mr. H K Dora said that a Special Control Cell will be monitoring Traffic accidents and handle rescue operations.

The Andhra Pradesh State Government decides to extends its help hand to the people of Gujarat. As an initiative, the Government will be dispatching 5000 Tonnes of food grains, Blankets, Medicines and other relief supplies. Principal Secretary Mr. P V Rao said that the Government Helicopters leaves to Ahmedabad will be leaving shortly.
