The Vice President of Panama Mr. Vanario visited Hyderabad today. He was accompanied by various Ministers and experts in various fields. He was received by Governor, Sri Rangarajan, Cheif Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu and other Ministers. Andhra Pradesh and Panama are expected to sign up packs in areas of Software Technology, Agriculture, Informational, Science & Technology areas. The team visited Hitech city at Madhapur, Cyber Towers and IIIT. The team was explained about implementation of E-Governance and other Information Technology areas.

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu relased strategic papers on various areas in Hyderabad today. He said that the Neery-Meeru and Good Governance will be highlights of the programs. He said that Short term courses and Computer Education for all Government Employees will be provided. He said that the Government is proposing to extend the Twins project to all parts of the state.

Former MP, leading Congress member and son of Sri P V Narasimha Rao, Mr. P.V. Rangarao was arrested today on charges of cheating Film Actor Mr. Rajni Kanth to a tune of approximately Rs. 2 Crores in regard to a film titled "Sri Raghavendra Swami Mahatyam". He was made to appear before the Magistrate who asked to keep him in Judicial Custody. His PA Mr. Gopal Krishna Reddy was also arrested.

A Team of 5 Experts from Hyderabad left for Gujarat to study the occurance of Earthquakes and soil activity in Bhuj and other parts of Gujarat for 5 days.
