Members asked the Government on their strategy of filling up vacant posts in various Government Medical Hospitals in the state. They asked to make the Governments stand on the Monopoly that has been developing the these hospitals. Minister for Health Mrs. Aruna said that most of the vacancies were in the non-clinical side. She said that termination of jobs haven been taken on a large scale for Doctors who have been taking long leave and either joining private Clinical labs or leaving for foreign counties. Chief Minister admitted that seats for various PG Courses at Medical Colleges at less than the required and that the Government will study and do the needful soon.
