Governor of Andhra Pradesh Sri Rangarajan took additional charge at the Acting Governor of Tamil Nadu today.

The newly elected MLAs for Giddaluru and Bavel took charge as members of the Legislature today. While TDP MLA's welcomed their arrival with claps, the Congress kept silent.

The Government has announced that it will be considering for quick payment of salaries to Lecturers and Teachers in various colleges in the state.

An explosion took place at the State Legislative Assembly in the "G" Block. Police Authorities confirmed that the explosion occured when a detonator being used by the contractor was left during the construciton work exploded accidentally. No one were injured in the incident.

A major Naxals Arms Dump was foun in Kodimyal Mandal of Karimnangar District. Huge ammunition was recovered from the dump. The Korutla Police along with the District Squad personnel recovered the arms.

Speaker Mrs. Prathibha Bharati inaugurated Computer Orientation Program for MLA's at the Assembly today. About 150 MLA's will be taking part in this training program.

64 people were held during raids conducted by the Vigilance Cell of the Civil Supplies Dept. during the last week. About Rs. 45.52 Lakhs was recovered during the raids.

A minor fire accident broke at the CDU Unit of HPCL at Visakhapatnam. The fire was put off in 20 minuates and no one were injured in the incident.
