Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Smt Vijayamma of won in the Badvelu constituency of Cuddapah by defeating his nearest rival Dr. V. Sivaramakrishna Rao of Congress party.

Chief Minister said that the Vigilance and Enforcement Departments will be restructured in the Assembly. However, Congress questions its need.

Congress said that they were extremely unhappy at the Anti-farmer policies in the state and said that some farmers have even sold their kidneys for the finances and to coverup their loans. However the Government said that the farmers have 'donated' their kidneys.

Congress MLA Mr. Suresh Reddy said that the Government has been neglecting the maintenance works of the Srisailam Project. Minister Mr. Manda Venkateswara Rao said that they will decide on what to do depending on the feedback that comes from the Committee that was set up for this.

Minister Sri K Ramachandra Rao said that the Government will be looking into the appointment of Principals for various Degree colleges in the state and that the process was delayed because of the court case between the Lecturers and Principals over the seniority and UGC scales.

Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud ordered into an Departmental Enquiry aganist Sub-Inspector of Samstha Narayanpur Police Station in the recent Narayanpur rape incident.

Three Bills including The Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, The AP Municipal Law ( Amendment ) Bill and the AP Urban Areas (Development) (Amendment) Bill were introduced in the State Assembly today.

The Akhila Bharati Sai Society of Visakhapatnam handed over a cheque for Rs. 22,500/- to Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu as a part of Gujarat Relief Fund.

A major glitch has stopeed the production of Steel at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Production worth crores of rupees came to a still at 4 depeartments in VSP since morning 6:15.

A four-month old Five-Spotted Deer was killed by a stray bird. The deer was at the Municipal Corporation Park at Rajahmundry.

A 35-year old Women killed her two daugthers and killed her self at Baruva Mandal in Srikakulam.

Members of the Hinduja Family worshiped at the Sri Kalahastiswara Temple in Sri Kalahasti today. They later went to the Tirumala and participated in Abisekham at the Lord Venkateswara Temple.

Union Minister Sri Ram Vilas Paswan visited Hyderabad today. He said that he will try his best to provide International Gateway facilities from Hyderabad. He laid bricks for the new 3-floor building of BSNL at Hi-tech City, Hyderabad. He said that a Three-floor building and quarters for staff will be constructed at the earliest.

The Telugu Desam Party retained their seats in both Giddaluru and Badvelu Constituencies.

Smt. Saikalpana Reddy of Telugu Desam Party defeated his nearest rival Mr. N. Veera Reddy of Congress by 20,000 votes. She got 25,098 votes and gained the Giddaluru Assembly constituency. She said that she will work hard for Telugu Ganga Project after she received the official confirmation.
