State Minister for Finance, Mr. Y Ramakrishnudu introduced the state Financial Budget today. This years Budget is a Tax-Free deficit budget. The Budget has put the Governments Expenditure at Rs. 25,496.97 Crores under the Non-plan and Rs. 10,326.65 Crores under plan. He said that the State Government has no other alternative than to burrow Rs. 8429 Crores from the Central Government and Financial Institutions.

The Election Commission said that it will be conducting a re-poll at two booths in the Giddalur Assembly. The elections will be held on Thursday.

One person died of consuming illict liquor in Anantapur District.
