Show cause notice for Mr. Indrakiran Reddy
Mr. M Satyanarayana Rao said that he had no other alternative other than to issue the show cause notice to keep the Congress united on a single word. A show cause notice was issued on Mr. Indrakiran Reddy on his formation of Telangana Congress Committee. Meanwhile, Mr. Jeevan Reddy said that the show cause notice was issued to the whole of MLA's who were supporting the cause of TCC. He said that the words of PCC President were creating confusion among the people on the Congress stand on the Telangana. He said that he will be supporting Mr. Indrakiran Reddy.

Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud has held a meeting with Home Ministry to discuss on the formation and implementation of rules against Ragging in Colleges and Educational institutions based on the guide lines from the Supreme Court.

Minister Sri Mr. Mandava Venkateswara Rao said that the State Government decided to fill teacher post by the end of December 2001.

K Rosayya questioned the Government on how it will be implementing crores of rupees worth projects as promised to the people for Hyderabad.

4 Naxals were killed in clashes between the Naxals and the Police forces in Pileru in Chitoor when the police were conducting combing operation in the area.

The State Government to decided to appoint retired Judges of District courts for solving the pending cases in Fast Track Courts in the state.

CPI affliate society visits market yards
CPI affiliated Farmers society members visited market yard in Warangal today. They inspected and reported that farmers were not given the desired price and that this was not being informed to the higher authorities.

Anti-Pollution Day was observed today. Special program was held in Visakhapatnam today. Similar programs were also held in Vijayawada and Nalgonda. A Handicaps Rally was held in Tirupati. They asked for the increase of reservation of Handicaps to 5%.

23 Aided Employees Associations demanded the Government for a uniform pay scale with other Government employees.

Physical Education Common Entrance Test results were announced by Sri Krishnadevaraya University today by Vice Chancellor Prof. Y Sarasvathi Rao in Warangal.

Governor hosts Iftar dinner
Governor Dr. C Rangarajan organised an Iftar dinner at the lawns of Raj Bhawan. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Chandrababu Naidu, Consul-General of Iran, Mr. Ali Gomi, Speaker of Legislative Assembly Mrs. Prathiba Barathi and other MLA's and MP's took part in the dinner.
