YSR says he is ready for any enquiry into his family members involvement in ISD calls racket

Devarakonda MLA Mr. Ragyanayak shot dead
Nalgonda district Devarakonda MLA Mr. Ragyanayak was shot dead by Naxals of the Peoples War Group this afternoon at 12:30 at a temple in Mahabubnagar. He is survived with 5 children. Mr. Ragyanayak discussed on various girijan problems in the state and resembled the true leader who spoke for the Girijans. He argued on the aristocracies against Girijan women in March this year in the Assembly. His son who was informed about this this evening met CLP Leader Mr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

Meanwhile, Mr. Anil Kumar, Special Operation Additional SP said that the MLA has left to the temple without informing the police. Mr. Ragyanayak left to the temple with only 1 gun man even if he has 3 gun men.

CLP Leader Mr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and Home Minister Mr. Devendar Goud condemned the act of Naxals and questioned what they achieved with this. CLP Leader said that the loss of Ragyanayak was a big loss for CLP and Nalgonda district.

DSC Results in Jan 2002
Minister Mr. Mandava Venkateswara Rao said that DSC Examinations which were held in August this year results will be announced on Jan 6, 2002 and that the postings be done by Jan 20, 2002. Selections of candidates for postings will be done on merit only.

House committee for 610 GO implementation
The Government agreed for a house committee on the implementation on the 610 GO. TRS, BJP and other opposition parties said that Local and Non-Local classifications were not correctly done. MIM Leader said that Technology should also be used for justice for the poor and needy. Home Minister commented that the Congress was responsible for the lack of developments of the Telangana area in the past. Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said that all the necessary steps will be taken to see for its implementations at any cost.

Congress asks for house committee on misappropriations done in building house for minorities
Congress MLA Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy asked for an enquiry into the misappropriations in building house for minorities during the Question hour at the Assembly. The opposition parties asked for an in-depth enquiry into this and asked for a house committee since the dealings involve Crores of Rupee. Replying to this, Minister said that a departmental committee will be setup and that no house committee is necessary. Dissatisfied at the reply, Congress party staged a walk-out.

CM restates that Govt. is ready for talks with Naxals
Chief Ministry Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu restated that the Government is ready for talks with the Peoples War Group and other naxals group in the state. He spoke at the conclusion of a training programme at NTR Trust Bhavan. He said the Congress Party which was a National-level party lost its fame and could not even stand as a regional-party. He said that people will stick to people who do the work and not at people who always promises.

MCH Election work begins
The process of filing of nominations for Municipal Corporation Elections at Hyderabad began today. MCH and City Police began their work towards this. Speaking at a press conference, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad - Mr. Pervaram Ramulu detailed on the rules to be followed by the candidates during the election. MCH Commissioner Mr. Mohanthy said that discipline action will be taken on any MCH employee who violates election code conduct during duty.
