AP to take help from Malaysia - says CM

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that the State Government will take the help of the Malaysian Government in various development programs in the state. He said that IT and Educational system of Malaysia is a good guide for our state. He requested the Central Government to allow international airliners to operate between Malaysia and Hyderabad.

Congress, CPI and TRS parties said that Government has completely failed in providing fare prices for the farmers produce in the state. CLP Leader Mr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said that the AP Transco's levy of bills at the wrong time was wrong. TRS asked the Government to consider providing separate minimum prices keeping in mind about the difficulties faced by the farmers from the Telangana. Congress and CPM members, then staged a walkout for not providing a clear reply from the Government side.

The Telugu Desam Polit Bureau decided to agree with all the reforms that the Central Government brings in regard to removing terrorism from the country. The Meeting also discussed on procuring works of farmer produce, food-for-work programme and the upcoming Corporation and Municipal election in various parts of the state. The meeting also decided to use computers to have updated information handy. The Party asked its members to work united during the upcoming Janmabhoomi programme which begins from 2nd January 2002.

Union Minister Mr. Vidyasagar Rao said that the Check posts in the country will be brought under Central Home Ministry and will be monitored by Immigration Enforcement. He said that the recent attacks on the Parliament is not a failure of the Intelligence reports since the attack included a suicide attack which are not pre-planned by the terrorist organisations themselves thoroughly.

Mr. Bardan visited Hyderabad to take part in AITUC Meetings. He said that it is very wrong on the Central Government to take major diplomatic steps such as recalling the High Commissioner from Pakistan and stopping the road and rail services to Pakistan without consent from the Opposition parties in the country.

CPM Party MLA Mr. Naraimhayya said in the Assembly that the levy of Consumer Taxes in Government Hospitals did not yield any effect. Replying to the question, Minister said that the money that was collection thus will be spent for the development of the Hospital only and that he will check any mis-appropriations that come to his notice.

Mr. Ramachandra wins 46th National Convocation Award
Mr. Ramachandra Durvasan of Sri Ram Chits and Mr. Ravishankar Ayyanaar, SP of Nizamabad were recently won an award at the 46th National Convocation of the Indian Junior Chamber held at Indore recently.

Visakha Utsav Festival begins
Visakha Utsav - the Festival of Visakhapatnam began today. The Festival is an annual event being conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism in association with the District Administration, VUDA and VMC to promite tourism in the area.

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu visited the newly constructed Haj House and the Haj 2002 Medical Camp at Nampally. The Haj House was the first one being constructed by the Government.

A Major disaster was averted when villagers in Pebbair mandal of Rangapur in Mahaboobnagar identified that the water in the nearby water taken was mixed with monocrotophos - a pesticide. The Mandal and District officials immediately reached the place and stopped water supply to the nearby residents.
