Governor administers first drops

Governor of Andhra Pradesh C Rangarajan inaugurated the Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme in the state. He administered the first oral polio drops to a baby in Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the society should take up the responsibility to eradicate polio.

Pulse Polio Immunization drive is taken up at all-india level. The drops are administered free of cost at all Public Health Centers (PHC) and at special centers setup as a part of the drive.
