Food for Work program in Nalgonda

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the Food for Work program in Nalgonda. He said that he will see that 24 hours power will be provided in the area. He said that strict action will be taken if the funds were misutilised.

Rehabitation Programme was held for Naxals who surrendered before the police in Nizamabad.

ABVP staged a rally against Terrorist attacks on Parliament in Hyderabad today. Slogans were raised against Pakistan who was responsible for terrorism.

Director General of Police Mr. H K Dora said that all security preparations will be reviewed once more and that all passes being issued to MLA's and other officials at the Assembly will be rechecked.

Chief Minister reviewed that security arrangements being taken at all major centers of the twin cities. He held a meeting with Home Minister and other ministers. Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud said that the State Government will never draw back and will continue to fight against any organisation who are behind terrorists or militants.

PCC President Sri M Satyanaraya Rao began the campaign of the Congress for the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad. He told the people that during the years the people were banged will all types of taxes including water tax. He asked the people to vote for the Congress keeping in mind the anti-people policies of State and Central Government.

Special Security forces were beefed up at Tirumala and Tirupati as a security measure to protect the Temple and other holy places in the area in the wake of terrorist attacks. About 400 security personnel from the Special Protection Force (SPF) were deployed.

Employees of the Chitoor Diary Farm staged a dharna at the Indira Park in Hyderabad asking the Government to look into their demands and payment of salaries.

The 19th India International Photography Workshop began at Visakhapatnam. The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Sharma, District Collector.
