Central Team visits Andhra Pradesh to analyse drought situation

Central Team comes to Andhra Pradesh to inspect the drought situation in the state. The Team headed by Sri Sri Sinha visited Rangareddy, Cuddapah, Prakasam, Kurnool, Nellore and other districts and said that the team will report to the Center to the central team after thorough field inspection.

The CPI, CPI(M) and other Left Parties members met the Central Team inspecting on the drought situation in the state. They asked to see that the Center allocates Rs. 1000 Crores for the same and submitted a 19 points letter to Sri K P Sinha and Sri Govakar.

Karimnagar Police have organised a "Surrender Mela" welcoming Naxals to come into the public today. Many naxals of the Peoples War Group, Janashakti Group and other groups surrendered before the police. About 25 Naxals and 2 women naxals are believed to be surrendered.

The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee took a rally in Hyderabad today. Top Congress Leaders including Sri M Satyanarayana Reddy, Sri P Janardhan Reddy and others participated in the rally. Sri P Janardhan Reddy commented severly on Chief Minsiters involvemnt in Eluru scam. The members later presented a letter to the Governor Sri Rangarajan

Two Naxals including a woman naxal surrendered before the Nizamabad Police today. The surrendered Naxals were believed to be Den-keepers of the Peoples War Group.

The Hindustan Ship Yard located at Visakhaptnam is believed to have obtained an order worth Rs. 300 Crores for a Danish based Danish Maritime Institute.

Visakhapatnam Municipal Commissioner Sri Sanjay Jaaju said that a special drive should be brought about as a year long project to educate women on breast-feeding milk and its uses.
