The DSC 2001 Examinations were conducted all over the State today except the districts of Chitoor, Medak and Krishna. 1140 Examination centers were arranged allover the state. Tirupati instead of Chitoor and Vijawada instead of Krishna centres are arranged. 2,58,673 Applications were received for 32,129 posts. District Collector G Sai Prasad said that strong security was arranged in Kurnool district and no reports of shortage of papers were reported. The Examination for School teachers will be conducted tomorrow.
Humanity and Heritage Rally in Hyderabad
A Rally to promote Heritage and Humanity was conducted in Hyderabad. Foreigners along with local people participated actively in the rally. The rally concluded at Charminar.
The new Security arrangements at Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad came to the final stage. As a part of developments, the boundary wall is increased to 12 feet and CCTV Alarm systems were arranged in the Zoo. The Roads inside the Zoopark were extended to 4 kilometers and Electronic Gates were arranged. Curator Mr. Joseph said that tenders for various works were already received.
The State CPI (M) staged a dharna near Sundarraya Park in Hyderbad. They critised that the government failed to help people during the drought situations in the state.
Union Minister Mr. Dattatreya said that NDA is trying to implement a strong and robust law for Co-operative and Urban Banks who try to cheat people. He also said that the issue of Krushi Bank was brought forward to the Union Finance Minister Mr. Yeswanth Sinha who promised to take necessary action.
