Water Level of Godavari River water increasing

The Water Level of the Godavari River was found to be increasing. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has ordered the District Collectors of Khammam, Karimnagar and East and West Godavari Districts to take immediate step and recovery operations as necessary. The water level at Badrachalam was found to be at 48 Feet in the evening and was expected to increase to the 3rd Warning Level at 53 Feet by mid night.

Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu announced that Netherlands Government has extended help for plantations in Jeedimetla area of Hyderabad.

The State Government has formally given approval for the establishment of 90 Incentive Junior colleges in the state.

Board of Intermediate Studies has released a new schedule for the new colleges which got approval for the year 2001-2002 instead of the of the earlier schedules.

The SI who lost his life in the recent naxal landmine blast was laid to rest yesterday at his home town of Markhapur in Guntur district.

The Central Government has approved the Hyderabad based Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) as a Deemed University. The required permissions letters were sent to the IIIT.
