Congress clinches Chitoor ZP Seat

Congress party won the ZP Chairman Election in Chitoor district with 33 votes towards its side and 32 towards Telugu Desam Party. Senior Congress Leaders including the CLP Leader Sri Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was in Chitoor district to convince a section of Congress members.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Rastra Samithi which came out with surprising results in the recent local elections won the Karimnagar ZP Chairman seat.

State BJP Unit writes to PM on state drought condition
The State BJP unit requested the Prime Minister to send a team of experts to monitor the drought situation in the state. State BJP Leader Sri Chilakam Ramachandra Reddy wrote a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard.

Ban on Deendan Anjuman group right - says High Court
The State High Court has cancelled a writ petition filed by Deendan Anjuman group which was recently been banned in the state. Justice Sudarshan Reddy has verified the records of the group and said that State Government's decision on banning it was right.

Hyderabad City Central Organiser of the Peoples War Group Mr. Pakala Raju surrendered before the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Sri P Ramulu. Announcing this, Mr. Raju said that he had taken the permission of the Peoples War Group in regard to his surrender.

Vice Chancellor of NIMS, Dr. Kakarla Subba Rao's new book "A Doctors Story of Life & Death" has raised new ripples. Dr. Kakarla mentioned that the death of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N T Rama Rao's death was not a sudden death and that Mrs. Lakshmi Parvathi did not call her on that day.

Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam announced that they have received a confirmation message from a Chennai resident who wishes to donate Rs. 7 Crores for Lord Sri Venkateswara. Meanwhile, use of Polythene based covers was banned in Tirumala. TTD is making efforts to distribute Prasadams in papers and Cloth-covers.

India's premier War Ship - INS Virat reached Visakhapatnam as a part of its excise operations. INS Virat which is based in Mumbai has recently undergone repairs in Goa and reached the Eastern Naval Headquarters here in Vizag.
