World Photography day celebrated

Minister of Roads and Buildings Mr. K Vijayarama Rao said that the Government is considering the introduction of degree and diploma courses in photography in colleges of the state. Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of the World Photography day, he said that the employment opportunities in the field of photography have almost become a necessity of modern living. Prizes were distributed to winners of a State level photo competition held.

93rd Birthday Celebrations of Gowthu Latchanna

Lok Sabha Speaker Mr. GMC Balayogi lauded the services of Gowthu Latchanna in the 93rd birthday celebrations of Gowthu Latchanna. Participating as chief guest Mr. Balayogi said that Mr. Latchanna was one of the few leaders who provided efficient leadership in both social and political spheres and exhorted the youth to draw inspiration from him.

Six naxalites belonging to the People's War Group surrendered before the Superintendent of Police, Dr. RS Praveen Kumar responding to the Government's rehabilitation package for surrendered extremists. Among the surendered were the Karimnagar east division district committee member and his wife and Ramagundam area committee secretary.
