Home Minister reviews developments of Krushi Bank Case
Home Minister Sri Devendar Goud has held a meeting with Officials of RBI, Co-Operative and Police Department to analyse the recent developments in the Krushi Urban bank case. He said that even the Revenue Department is being alerted to find any possible fixed assets being procured by the Bank. He said that experts are being asked to review the present laws, weather or not they are sufficient and if necessary and modifications to the laws with be brought about. Primary Investigation by Police Department revealed that there are about 10,000 depositors who have put over Rs. 31.8 Crores in the bank and that Rs. 31 Crores was given as loans by the Bank on fake names.
3rd Phase of Panchayat Elections ends
The 3rd Phase of Panchayat Elections ended today. Rallies were held in areas including Elamanchili, Visakhapatnam by the participating members.
Kurnool District SP Mr. Seetaramanjaneyulu has held a meeting with contesting candidates of Adoni Panchayat. He said that the Police Department will take strict action against any one involved in mischief at the polling stations.
Vizag Collector visits Rural areas
Visakhapatnam District Collector Sri JSV Prasad visited various Girijan areas of the district and monitored the conditions. He said that the District Medical Administration has been alerted of Viral Fevers and Malaria in the Rural areas.
Clean and Green Programme begins
Clean and Green Programme began at various parts of the state. Officials of Warangal District cleaned the environment surrounding the Warangal Collector Office and planted green plants. Students of various College planted sapling at the Visakhapatnam Central Jail.
Hyderabad Police arrested 4 persons involved in the kidnap of a Kolkata based Business man case. About Rs. 3 Crores was recovered from them in cash besides 3 cellphones and a Maruthi van. The Operation to nab these criminals was jointly organised by Hyderabad and Kolkata Police.
Tools dating back to 1100 BC - 800 AD were recovered in excavations in Kurnool district.
No Seats in B.Arch at Hyderabad
EAMCET Admissions Commissioner announced that all the seats in Bachelor of Architecture ( Free, Payment - Local and Non-local ) were already filled in the Saturday counseling in Hyderabad. There are only few seats available in BC, SC and ST categories for Andhra, Osmania and Venkateswara Universities.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh allocated Rs. 3.5 Crores towards repairs of various B C Hostels in the state under that "Aadharana" project. As a part of this, about 27 schools will get Computer facilities.
