Seminar on Universities-Industries Relationship begins

Governor Sir Rangarajan said that the Universities and Industries should have more strong relations to implement the latest scientific and technological developments. Sri Rangarajan inaugurated a seminar on Universities-Industries Relationship in Hyderabad today. He said that Industries have to look to other universities aswell as they are doing for REC's, IIT's and IIM's. He said that though certain amount of development was done towards this extent, much has to be done to meet the targets. Experts felt that unless co-operative development between the two sectors take place, developments aren't possible.

All arrangements for Food-for-Work ready - says Minister
The Food-for-Work system for farmers in 211 mandals in the state will begin from Monday. Minister Sri Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that funds that were allocated to various districts were already being sent. He said that this system will work to some extent.

Congress, BJP restricts TRS's Seperate Telangana at ZP Meeting
Mahaboobnagar Zilla Parishad met today to discuss on various issues. The ZP proceedings were disrupt with TRS brining into notice of separate Telangana state. Congress and BJP parties denied to bring this issue since it was a political issue. All the parties however accepted to discuss the issue of recognising Mahaboobnagar as a permanent drought district.

Panchayat Raj Teachers Association said that Government has shown no interest in bringing Teachers calendar in time and that it has to take into implementation of GO No. 610.

NGO Association said that it will go on a state wide demonstration if the Government takes action on all Officers and upper-level society members who were into the recent Defense-Scam in Visakhapatnam. Presidents of various Districts met at the NGO office and discussed on their future course.

Electricity Bills scam unearthed
Sri K Durga Prasad announced that a scam of Electricity bills took place in Guntur. It was believed that some employees of the Electricity Department who collected the bills did not pay them to the Government. He said that notices were issued to all the employees and authorities who were involved in the scam and that they are required to return back with proper response.

Lathi Charge against Senior Congree Leader
Police restored to Lathi Charge against Congress supporters including Senior Congress member Sri V Hanumantha Rao for staging Dharna in Srikakulam District. Congress supporters later sat before the Srikakulam II Town till late night in protest against the police.

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) announced that it is preparing a district wise list of IAS, IPS and IFS authorities who are involved in various corruption cases. Speaking at a Press Conference, ACB Director General Mr. Ramawat Yadav said that all raids will be done after through thinking and a clear plan.

A Navy Boat overturned in Godavari River near Dummugudam in Khammam District. The Boat was installed for the Navy personnel who came there for excursion.
