The State Government has released Rs. 26 Crores to various Handloom and Weaver Co-operative Societies in the state for immediate relief to the Handloom workers in the state. Chief Minister Sri Chandra Babu Naidu said that all efforts are being made for the effective distributions of these funds directly to the Handloom workers. He said that District Collectors will present the payments by cheques on 9th and 10th of this month.
State Tourism Minister Sri E Peddireddy said that the Government has formed a special scheme for the rescue of Weavers in Karimnagar district. He said that more details of the scheme will be released shortly.
BJP Formation Day was celebrated today at Hyderabad.
Mahavir Jayanthi was celebrated today. Lord Sri Mahavir was sent in a procession today.
